As we talk to clients in recent days, we hear of questions from both the buying and selling sides about the best time of year to be in the market. Most sellers are asking if they should wait until Spring to list their homes for sale, while potential buyers are asking us if there will be more houses available in the Spring.
According to Nashville and Beyond’s Brian Copeland, who was recently speaking at the Datasfaction Conference held at Lipscomb University:
“As Realtors, we must have a crystal ball. That crystal ball is the data and the trends from that data that tells us where the market is going.”
So what’s the answer? Now is the time! Most real estate analysts expect a very busy 2013. For sellers hoping to cash in on Spring Fever and buyers anxiously awaiting the flood of homes to hit the market, the two may well converge in a supply and demand frenzy. If you are considering selling, buyers are ready for your homes to become theirs. Buyers, get with your Realtor now to get the best information on homes entering the market and for those great properties already available.
